About

The story of Mr. Seong Gyu Choi is an inspiration of how a child's love for cats translated into a lifetime of compassion and service towards animals.

It all started one day on the way to kindergarten. Seong Gyu Choi and his mother walked through a traditional Korean market when he saw a box of kittens and convinced his mother he could raise one by himself.

Little did Seong Gyu know that this little cat he named "Nabi" would be the reason for changing the course of his life.

Through this nonfiction book, you will discover the synchronicities that brought the authors together in a bond of empathy and love for animals. Mr. Choi and Elizabeth O'Carroll have built a friendship and mission to help feral cats, and their kittens to find loving homes, medical care, and neutralization. Through the individual stories of cats dear to Mr. Choi's heart and the rescued kittens along the way, you will not want to miss a local hero story!

This is a must-read for all those people who unabashedly declare themselves "Cat People". It's a fitting tribute to our favorite felines, who--through their snuggles, meows, and playful antics--make the world a better place.

Praise for this book

I read this book from beginning to end in one sitting. It was such a great read, I couldn't put it down! The first six chapters are written by Mr. Choi and the last three by Elizabeth O’Carroll, two friends who share a common goal to help cats in need. The personal stories they share are both heartwarming and heartbreaking at times. In addition to the stories, there are relevant photos on almost every page, so you can see them as well as the animals they're writing about. I would recommend this book to all cat lovers and animal lovers in general.
